Fellowships For STEM Faculty

ASM-LINK Undergraduate Faculty Research Initiative Fellowship

ASMCUE2Undergraduate STEM educators encounter many barriers to research success and the growth of their undergraduate research programs, including limited lab resources, funding, networks, and collaborators. Establishing successful research partnerships, especially those with research-intensive institutions, can overcome these barriers and provide a beneficial solution to advance undergraduate research programs. Unfortunately, many undergraduate educators feel ill-equipped to initiate these research partnerships effectively and, therefore, require additional support and preparation to engage in these relationships. The ASM-LINK Undergraduate Faculty Research Initiative (UFRI) Fellowship is a professional development resource that trains STEM faculty to initiate and sustain successful research partnerships. Through interactive training, structured mentoring, and deliberate networking at ASM-sponsored research conferences, UFRI fellows gain access to resources and networks to advance their undergraduate research programs.
