Brian Nelms is an Assistant Professor of Biology and Director of Graduate Studies in Biology at Fisk University. In his current post, he pursues both teaching and research. He has developed and taught courses in Developmental Biology, Biotechnology, and Molecular Biology. He is also a faculty member in the Fisk-Vanderbilt Masters-to-PhD program, where his NSF funded undergraduate- and Masters-level research program uses C. elegans as a model system to examine the role of forkhead transcription factors in C. elegans neuron development.
