Becky Sparks-Thissen is a virologist at the University of Southern Indiana. She received her B.S. from MIT in biology and her PhD in molecular biology from Princeton University. Her research focuses on the host-viral interactions governing bacteriophage infection. Her teaching interests are focused on undergraduate courses in introductory biology, virology and immunology. She is also actively involved in getting undergraduates involved in authentic research experiences both in the classroom and independent research.
